Join us in 2018 at Grove Park Theatre as we present two exceptional one-act plays where we remember the efforts of our veterans during World War I.

Hero by Michael J Lynch is set in 1916 in a British casualty clearing station. A young soldier has been brought to the hospital after being found critically wounded. The staff battle to make his final hours as comfortable as possible. News arrives of the soldier’s possible desertion and it soon becomes a case of should the Private be made to face the charges served or should he be able to die a hero?

Our Friends, The Enemy by Alex Gwyther is a one-man show set during the Christmas Day Truce of 1914. Join us on the Western Front where lights appear from the German trenches, ghosts rise from the horizon and soldiers meet between the firing lines.
