61 year old Peter Kendal, formerly of Wrexham but now living in Rhyl, today appeared before Caernarfon Crown Court and was imprisoned for 12 months for attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.

Det Insp Tony Underhill of North Wales Police’ On-Line Investigation Team said “I hope his sentence demonstrates our commitment to eradicate all forms of on-line child abuse

“Kendal believed he was engaged in an on-line conversation with a young girl and arranged to meet her to engage in sexual activity but fortunately his intentions were passed onto North Wales Police and he was arrested and brought to justice.”

“Those who engage in this type of activity should be aware of the consequences, we will find out, they will be arrested and they will go to prison.”

“I hope his sentence serves as a warning to others and provides our communities with reassurance that North Wales Police will robustly pursue all such offenders.”
