Businesses across Wrexham today embraced the festive spirit and took part in the Christmas Jumper Day Campaign.

Now in its fourth year the national ‘World Christmas Jumper Day Campaign’ raises money for Save The Children by encouraging people to wear their festive jumper for the day.

It is estimated that four million people donned a Christmas jumper for today’s event.

ASH Waste Services were just one of the companies in Wrexham who took part in today’s campaign, with all office staff taking part in fundraising events throughout the day.

Beth Bennett said: “All the office staff have come to work wearing Christmas Jumpers and have taken part in a ‘Snow Sweepstake’, and one of the company directors has made a giant pan of Turkey curry, with everyone donating £3 for a portion. All the guys on the yard also got involved, wearing Santa Hats and tinsel and a merry Christmas smile.

“So far the company have raised a ‘Sparkling’ £170 for Save The Children. Watch out for Santa and an Elf carrying out bin collection on Christmas Eve to carry on with the fundraising.”

Neil Cooper tweeted us this photo of Coopers who were also wearing their rather dashing Christmas jumpers.
