Wrexham At Wembley Cup Final
From 1.30pm this afternoon Wrexham FC are taking on North Ferriby United at Wembley Stadium in London to compete for the FA Trophy.
We will be documenting the day via this page and our @wrexham twitter, so check back throughout the day – with a full match report and post match quotes later!
Fans have been travelling down over the last few days to London, with many Wales fans trying to get last minute flights from the away game in Israel last night back to Wembley in time for the game.
More locally to Wrexham those taking buses and trains down have been up at the crack of dawn to get ready, with a couple of mentions from people who have set their alarm early but due to the change to British Summer Time ended up getting up at 4am rather than the planned 5am!
The FA Trophy Final goes to penalties after a last gap equaliser from Wrexham. Mixed reaction from Wrexham fans… as a disappointing game with the lead being lost, but relief we get a chance still to win!
FULL TIME: North Ferriby United win the penalty shoot out. Its a fairy tale, but not ours.
After applauding the opposition and the Wrexham players the fans stream out of the ground thinking what might have been when we were 2-0 up…
Penalty shoot out ends 3-3 so goes to sudden death…
One great thing from that goal was their celebration:

It is probably fair to say we were not expecting Extra Time – but we have it…
With just minutes to go North Ferriby grab an equaliser making it 2-2 in the 86th minute. They go understandably wild!
