Wands and brooms at the ready! Magical evening planned for Harry Potter Book Night

The most magical night of the year is upon us once more, and fans of all ages are invited to attend Wrexham’s spellbinding Harry Potter Book Night!

Held on Thursday 1st February, the annual event at the Wrexham Library is set to attracts hundreds of fans of Harry Potter and the wizarding world to Wrexham Library.

Taking place between 3pm and 6pm, this year’s theme is “fantastic beasts”. During the afternoon wizards, witches and muggles alike will have the chance to visit Hagrid’s hut and hunt down J. K. Rowling’s most interesting creatures in our treasure hunt.

There will also be the chance to win your very own magic wand and take part in Harry Potter activities and quizzes

Waterstones will be at the library selling Harry Potter goodies, and there will be readings from the series throughout the afternoon. You can also meet the sorting hat; find out your wizarding name and which Hogwarts house you belong in.

Cllr Hugh Jones, Minister of Magic, said: “Wrexham Library’s third Harry Potter book night is set to be the best yet.

“Come along and celebrate the fantastic world of Harry Potter. Last year over 200 people attended the event, you really don’t want to miss it.”

The event is free to attend for all witches, wizards and muggles alike. However under eights must be accompanied by an adult. Dressing up in your wizarding robes, house colours or as your favourite Harry Potter character is not essential, but is encouraged.
