Bus shelters in Wrexham have once again been targeted, with vandals smashing the glass for the second time in five weeks.

Earlier this morning Gavin tweeted Wrexham.com the image featured above of the bus shelter near Nine Acre, which has had two panes of glass smashed overnight – leaving glass across the pavement.

Gavin said: “Only lasted a few weeks before being vandalised again. #pathetic”

A second bus shelter on near the Smith Garage on Chester Road was also smashed overnight.

The shattered glass has since been cleared away, with one onlooker telling Wrexham.com that work was taking place clearing the mess at Nine Acre at around 5:45pm this evening.

This is the second time in little over a month were bus shelters in Wrexham have been targeted by vandals, with several smashed at the start of January.

We have contacted Wrexham Council for an exact number of bus shelters which have been damaged and where they are located. We are awaiting further comment.
