A483 Reopens Following Two Vehicle RTC Which Left Woman Injured
A woman has been left injured following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A483 southbound early this morning.
The incident took place on the A483 southbound between the Gresford Roundabout and the B&Q roundabout shortly after 8:30am this morning.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision – which resulted in heavy traffic and long delays for motorists travelling on the bypass and around the Gresford Roundabout.
Sirens could be heard in the area – with initial reports suggesting two fire engines and three ambulances attended the scene. Motorists were also advised by North Wales Police to seek alternative routes while recovery work took place.
One woman has been injured as a result of the collision, with a spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service stating: We had a call at 8.39am this morning, Wednesday 25 November, to reports of a road traffic collision on the southbound carriageway of the A483 in Wrexham.
“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene. A woman had been taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
The road reopened shortly before 10:30am, with North Wales Police Control Room tweeting to say: “A483 Gresford area now clear again. Many thanks for your patience & assistance. Please drive carefully as weather conditions worsen.”
