Update: Both incidents have now been clearer.

Original information below…

Two incidents have occurred on the roads in the area this afternoon with a car fire reported on Pentrebychan Road, and a crash on Railway Road in Pentre Broughton.

Gavin sent us the above picture saying: “Bad accident at the bottom of Railway Road in Pentre Broughton. Everything diverted there, no access past.”

Nick was in touch about the car on fire, saying: “Car on fire on Pentrebychan main road. Everybody out of car and traffic moving at the mo”

Traffic is also building in and around the B&Q Roundabout / Mold Road area of the town centre as a large number of football fans are attending a special ‘homecoming’ game at the Racecourse, as well as thousands attending the Wales Comic Con event on the Wrexham Glyndwr University campus.
