Resurfacing works and temporary traffic lights have resulted in long delays for motorists travelling down Chester Road this afternoon.

Earlier this afternoon there were queries about long delays / standstill traffic near Garden Village, with Shaun saying: “Avoid Chester Road, long queues in particular by the Acton Pub. Not sure why.”

The roadworks, which are located on the Chester Road / Box Lane junction began this morning – with resurfacing works now underway.

Three way traffic lights are also in place while the works are undertaken.

As a result of the temporary traffic lights, traffic is currently backed up between the Acton Park Pub and the Rhosnesni Lane Roundabout.

Motorists travelling that way are advised that the roadworks are set to take place until May 7th.
