Temperatures set to drop with weather warning for snow and ice issued
There is some bad news for anyone hoping that the worst of the bad weather would be over now that January has finally ended, with another snow weather warning issued.
The Met Office forecast states that snow and ice could hit large parts of North Wales, Wrexham and the North West between 9pm on Monday 5th February and 3pm on Tuesday 6th February
Wrexham only just falls into the weather warning, so there is a chance we could miss the worst of the weather.
Temperatures are also set to plummet again over the next few days, with highs of just 3C forecast in Wrexham on both Monday and Tuesday.
The early hours of Monday morning look set to be the coldest of the week, dropping to a very chilly -3C.
Details released by the Met Office state: “A spell of rain, sleet and increasingly snow will move east across the UK on Monday night and Tuesday, gradually weakening across England and Wales.
“Some roads and railways may be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
“As rain, sleet and snow clears Northern Ireland and Scotland overnight, ice may form on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.”
