A toyshop in Wrexham Town Centre is set to relocate to Eagles Meadow next month.

The Entertainer Toyshop, which is currently located on Henblas Street is to relocate to a vacant unit on Eagles Meadow – with their new store opening on Saturday 18th July.

A sign in the shop window is currently advertising a stock clearance and states: “See you there for our grand opening!”

The store will be moving to Unit D14 on Eagles Meadow – which is located between Trespass and H&M. Going by Wrexham.com maths, this is the first time this particular unit will have been occupied since Eagles Meadow opened back in 2008.

The Entertainer itself has been a long time occupier of that particular unit on Henblas Street and is the second store in a number of months to relocate from the area, with Bodycare moving next door to WH Smith at the end of 2014.

The Entertainer

Gary Grant, managing director and founder of The Entertainer: “After experiencing such solid growth across the UK we are pleased to announce the relocation of the Wrexham store. Wrexham and the centre itself continues to offer a strong retail position for our store as it attracts large numbers of family shoppers who are demanding more toy shopping choice on the high street and within shopping centres. We look forward to bringing joy and wonder to the children of Wrexham and we have plans to increase our presence in UK and will announce further plans soon.”

The opening of the new Entertainer will be Lego Ninjago focused with a visit from Kai who will be appearing regularly between 10am – 3pm during the day, there will also be a great Lego competition, Lego gift with purchase and a selection toy demos during the day.

Last November Evans clothing also closed its store on Henblas Street – however did not relocate elsewhere in the town. The relocation of The Entertainer leaves just BHS, the Post Office, a charity shop and a discount shop occupying Henblas Street.
