A new eatery specialising in steak dishes is set to open in the town centre.

In a planning application submitted to Wrexham Council permission is sough to display illuminated signage for ‘Steakaway Takeout and Cafe Restaurant’ on a disused property on Charles Street, Wrexham.

The application states the signage will be in place from February 2017 to February 2022.

The property was previously home to the ‘Dumplings’ restaurant, however it has remained vacant for several months.

Details about the business are provided on its Facebook page, which reads: “Steakaway’s approach to cooking our meat ensures consistent preparation and tender cut, but also a quality steak dinner that can be prepared in minutes.”

This is the second planning application submitted in relation to Charles Street recently, with Wrexham.com reporting over the weekend that a vacant retail unit on the street was due to be converted into office space.

More information about the business can be found on its Facebook page.
