St David’s Day Celebrations In Wrexham

Tomorrow is St David’s Day and in celebration a parade will take place in the town centre.

A parade will leave Saith Seren on Lambpit Street at 11am and will make its way through Chester Street, High Street, Hope Street, Regent Street, Egerton Street, Lord Street, Queen’s Square and will end with the traditional singing of the National Anthem.

In Queen’s Square a St David’s Day Food and Craft market take place between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Throughout the day there will be numerous stalls and demonstrations taking place.

On the Square there will be stalls selling local cheeses, bread, cakes, pies, cider, beer, jams and preserves, plants, Welsh themed clothing and a range of craft items.

Organisers are keen for local bands to join the parade and anyone interested should contact Kay Rickard on 01978 292536.
