New Furniture Store To Open On Island Green

A new furniture store is to open on Island Green on Friday.

Sharps specialises in installing bedroom and office furniture, including storage space, fitted bedrooms and office chairs. The new store will be situated next door to Dominoes Pizza on Island Green.

The 1,400 sq ft / 130 sq m was previously Vets 4 Pets, but since its closure the property has remained vacant.

A spokesperson for Sharps confirmed to us that the store will be opening up this Friday.

The news follows on from the recent announcement that Peacocks will be opening in the town centre this coming Thursday. In recent weeks a number of empty shops have been filled, with UN-DEG-UN taking over the old JJB and a new furniture shop opening in the old Boots.
