An incident on the southbound A483 just after the Rossett junction closed the A483 Wrexham bypass this morning.

The incident involved two vehicles and took place just before 8:20am this morning.

Ally Owen got in touch to say the outside lane on the southbound road has been closed, while others said that traffic is already starting to build up in the area.

Scott sent us the above picture saying: “Crash on 483 looks like two cars but everyone looks ok.”

The incident was first mentioned to us at 8:20am this morning, with queues heading back north past the England/Wales border.

One woman in her 20’s has been taken to the Maelor hospital with minor injuries. However the road has since been cleared and traffic is starting to ease on the road.

The old Wrexham to Chester road was used as a diversion for Southbound traffic, resulting in delays in that area. The following googlemap illustrates this quite well:

This morning’s news follows two other incidents earlier this week on the A483 southbound.
