Road Closed By Hospital After Incident

A male has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision involving a bus earlier this morning.

Shortly after 8:30am emergency services were called to an incident involving a bus and a pedestrian near the Wrexham Maelor Hospital between Watery Road / Croesnewydd Road.

The road was temporarily closed as a result of the incident with diversions in place. North Wales Police did tweet to say that access would be allowed for those with appointments at the hospital.

Sophie got in touch with Wrexham.com to say: “The bus driver has been checked over. Clearly in shock. Pedestrian is conscious but being checked. I saw no blood though”

A spokesperson for North Wales Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.36am to a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian outside Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man was taken into the Emergency Department.”

The road reopened shortly after 9:30am.

Croesnewydd Road by the Maelor hospital was closed this morning after an incident thought to be involving a pedestrian and a bus.
