This Christmas a Scout group in Wrexham will be selling Christmas trees and helping out with a local charity.

The 1st Rhosnesni Scouts have been selling trees to raise funds for the last four years, by both orders and sales from outside their hut on Dean Road. Since 2010 sales of the trees have been up year on year.

In 2011 the Scouts sold around 150 trees and the profits contributed a third of the cost of the new roof for their hut.

Ian Lucas, MP for Wrexham, had his Christmas tree supplied by the Scouts last year. Mr Lucas said: “The trees were excellent quality and great value for money!”

This year Scouts will be selling the trees for the next two Saturdays, and the 7th & 14th December, from 10am to 4pm, outside their Scout hut on Dean Road, Wrexham.

They are available to be bought on the day, or can be ordered in advance by contacting Alison on 07752 665192. A delivery service is also available.

The trees are quality non-needle drop Nordman Firs with no roots and are £28 for 4ft, £32 for 5ft, £36 for 6ft or £40 for 7ft.
