A residents meeting over plans to build more than 40 new homes in Gresford will take place next week.

On Tuesday it was reported that Gower Homes had launched a public consultation over plans to build a housing development on green barrier land off Vicarage Lane in the village.

It is thought the development will be worth £7.5 million.

Now Gresford councillor Andrew Atkinson has organised a residents meeting at the Gresford Trust Memorial Hall on Monday 3rd September.

Cllr Atkinson said: “Although anyone from Gresford or Marford that is interested is welcome to attend it is predominantly a residents meeting for those two roads and priority will be given to those residents to air their views.

“I’ll do my best to make sure everyone gets to ask the questions they want but I must make sure those residents don’t miss the opportunity to ask questions and share their views.

“I will be extending an invitation to the developers to attend part of the meeting.”

The meeting will take place at Gresford Trust Memorial Hall at 7:45pm on Monday 3rd September. (this was previously listed as a 7:30pm start!)
