‘Prolific’ Wrexham Offender Sentenced To Three And A Half Years In Jail
A Wrexham man has today been sentenced to 43 months imprisonment after he was found guilty of a number of offences.
24-year-old Wrexham man, Matthew John McKenzie today appeared before Caernarfon Crown Court and was sentenced in connection with offences of violence, dangerous and disqualified driving and other motoring offences committed in the Wrexham area.
Investigating officer DC Dave Evans of North Wales Police in acknowledging the sentence said it was important the Court and North Wales Police imposed strong sentences on those few in our communities who have no regard to the rights of the vast majority of law abiding citizens.
DC Evans said “Matthew McKenzie is a dangerous and prolific offender whose sentencing will send a clear message to those intent on breaking the law or acting in an anti-social manner.
“We welcome this sentence and I hope it will also reassure those who work with us to make our communities safer. North Wales Police will vigorously pursue any individuals who cause harm within our communities and on our roads as this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.”
