Praise for Wrexham mental health and well-being charity
A Wrexham-based mental health and well-being charity has been granted a seal of approval demonstrating their commitment to working to the highest possible standards.
Advance Brighter Futures, based on Belmont Road in Wrexham, has been supporting people living with mental health issues for over 25 years.
Local Assembly Member, Lesley Griffiths has congratulated Advance Brighter Futures after gaining the Level 1 PQASSO (Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations) award.
PQASSO is a user-friendly quality assurance system designed to help run organisations more effectively and efficiently. It ensures organisations have sound governance practices, financial and risk management procedures in place, which ultimately result in a better quality service for users and members of the public.
Wrexham-based Advance Brighter Futures (ABF) has been supporting people with mild, moderate and severe mental health problems since 1992.
Mental health issues are common, with one in four people being affected at any one time. ABF firmly believe no individual experiencing mental health problems should ever feel like they are alone and the organisation is on hand to listen, promote wellbeing and help people from in and around Wrexham work towards recovery.
Lesley Griffiths AM visited ABF earlier this year alongside Ken Skates AM and said: “Advance Brighter Futures is a well-established local charity and I would like to congratulate Lorrisa and her team on their latest significant achievement.”
“Securing the Level 1 PQASSO award will help ensure ABF support even more people in Wrexham, improving their mental wellbeing and enabling them live happier and fulfilling lives.”
