There have multiple reports of power outages across parts of Wrexham town centre and the surrounding areas this evening.

Between 10pm and 10:10pm a number of people contacted Wrexham.com regarding the power cuts – which appears to have affected a large part of Wrexham.

Nigel said: “Power dropped tv went off, now no signal at all in Coedpoeth”, with Stetta reporting a ‘weird power stutter’.

Other people have reported alarms sounding, street lights going off, and traffic lights stopping working after the outages.

Bill was annoyed, “Ha annoying, cost me a game on Overwatch 😢”

Power supplies appear to have to returned to normal and there are no further updates at present on the cause of the power surge from SP Energy Networks.

More shortly.
