A sheep is loose in town this evening, with police now attempting to apprehend it.

Mike tweeted us the above picture of the sheep, saying: “random sheep on loose on Ashburn Way estate Kingsmill ”

PCSO Hodges warned: “Beware in the Hightown area- reports of sheep in the road near Norman Road. En route! @wrexham”

The sheep has been described as ‘running around’ Ashburn Way for quarter of an hour, with police then turning up and are as of 8:30pm ‘currently chasing after it back up Hightown’.

It is believed the sheep was attempting an illegal ewe turn in the road, possibly even a sheep at the wheel due to its poor movement.

Adam suggests on Facebook it is “Probably heading to Lambpit Street!” although it is likely to avoid the Butchers Market, and the Bank Bar which is rammed tonight.

sheeeeeeeeeeeparea

More shortly on if the sheep is apprehended…
