Police Find Body In Nant-y-Garth Search For Georgia Williams
This afternoon police have been working around the Nant-y Garth pass, around 10 miles West of Wrexham, with one area of interest taped off.
Police have confirmed the work is in connection with the disappearance of 17yo Georgia Williams.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said “These searches are part of our ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 17-year-old Georgia Williams from Wellington.”
TV news crews were stationed on the Rossett junction of the A483 just after midday today as the focus of the investigation moved north.
Police are expected to hold a press conference at 5.45pm updating progress on the investigation.
Update 5:47pm
The man previously arrested , Jamie Reynolds, has been charged with the murder of Georgia Williams. Sadly this also confirms that Georgia has infact died.
Police have confirmed a body of a young female has been found in woodland at the Nant-Y-Garth pass just after 2pm today.
No formal identification has yet taken place however police say they believe it is Georgia.
Police went on to say “Georgia’s family have been kept fully informed of all the recent developments and this has only added to the devastation they are feeling about this week’s events.”
