A warning has been issued to residents and motorists travelling in the Rossett area after the River Alyn burst its banks.

North Wales Police say it has happened on the Manor Lane area and that officers and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service will be assisting residents.

Road closures are also being put in place and people are being urged to avoid the area.

Earlier this morning Mike tweeted us the above images of The Alyn restaurant – which runs alongside the river in Rossett – showing how high water levels have written over the past few hours.
