Plans submitted to build 10 new homes in Ponciau
Ten new homes could soon be built in Ponciau.
In plans submitted to Wrexham Council it has been proposed that the dwellings are developed on a parcel of land between Grango School playing fields and North Road.
In a design and access statement the site is described as being “undulating brown field land which has been cleared in the recent past but is believed to have contained a small vehicle dismantler’s business which ceased operating many years ago.”
If approved the properties would consist of three and four bedrooms, with further details on the design expected to be submitted at a later date if the plans are approved.
As part of the development a new road that will link the estate to North Road is proposed.
The applicants state: “The development is completely sustainable and it satisfies both national and local planning policy.
“Although the design of the proposed dwellings is not yet known they will each have three or four bedrooms in response to previously expressed requests from local people to have larger houses built in the area.
“The houses will be of contemporary design and materials and will be similar to other houses built in the area. Each dwelling will enjoy high levels of residential amenity and the amenity and privacy of surrounding residents will not be adversely affected by the development.
“The proposed estate road and access will be of similar design and construction to the estate road and access already approved for the housing development on adjoining land.
“On completion of the development the new houses will significantly enhance the housing stock of the village.”
The application will be considered for approval at a later date.
