A planning application has been submitted which could see a Wrexham KFC branch almost double in size.

The takeaway restaurant on Market Street has applied to change the usage of the former Bargain Booze store next door on St Georges Crescent to become part of KFC.

The former off license would be used to provide extra seating and improved toilet facilities for customers with the current toilets removed.

According to the planning application the extension would also allow improved access for disabled customers and those with small children and pushchairs.

Of the next door store the application notes: “The unit has been unoccupied for several months as there does not appear to be demand for a small retail unit in this particular location.”
