New Pets At Home Store Opens With Local Charity Partner
Pets at Home invited some special guests to the grand opening of its ‘Your Local’ store in Wrexham this Friday, the second store in the area.
Bob Dutton, Lead Member for the Environment, officially help open the new store, located on Border Retail Park, Holt Road.
Charity partner for the store, Cats Protection Wrexham Adoption Centre also attended the opening where centre manager, Susan Kennedy was taken on a special tour of the fantastic new facilities.
All were warmly welcomed by store manager Tom Bawden, who were given the the full VIP treatment. Pets at Home mascot, Robbie the Dog, also be joined in the fun.
Store manager Tom says: “We’ve all worked really hard to get the store looking fantastic for our customers and their pets. We’re really excited about Friday’s grand opening and meeting all our special guests.
“We look forward to being actively involved in the local pet community from day one and hope that we’re able to support lots of organisations in raising awareness of responsible pet care in the area.”
Volunteers from Cats Protection spent time at the store throughout the opening weekend to inform customers about their work and raise much-needed funds for their cause.
The store has created nine jobs for the area’s pet lovers and will provide thousands of dedicated pet products, catering for local dogs, cats, small animals, chickens, reptiles, birds and fish, as well as wildlife.
Holt Road will be home to coldwater and tropical fish. There will also be a Support Adoption for Pets unit that will help to re-home animals in the area.
We here at Wrexham.com love Wrexham’s Cats Protection – so check out their site here – and perhaps have a nose at their cats up for adoption at the moment for a cuteness overload!
