Over £500 has been raised for Nightingale House Hospice by staff at a Wrexham company following a Christmas raffle and quiz.

IMC has now brought the total raised in recent years for the hospice to over £3,500. They have organised a range of fundraising events and regularly collect money in one of the hospice’s collecting tins.

The company manufactures bar and refrigeration systems, waste management and vegetable preparation equipment on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Materials Administrator at IMC, Lesley Blencowe-Sherlock said: “IMC is pleased to support such a worthwhile local charity in our home town of Wrexham. Staff wanted to make a special contribution this Christmas and the raffle and quiz were very well supported. We also sold Christmas cards to help the hospice. We wish Nightingale House and its supporters well in all their fundraising efforts in the coming year. ”

Hospice Corporate Partnerships Manager Debbie Barton was delighted to receive the cheque. She said: “As we start a brand new year of fundraising, we are indebted to those businesses large and small who do what they can to help us find the money we need for the 12 months ahead.

“This year our annual running costs will be £3,140,383 which equates to £8,604 a day.

“We always welcome support from businesses, for example by nominating us as their Charity of the Year, sponsoring or taking part in an event, holding a fundraiser in work, joining our lottery or donating to our shops. There are so many ways to get involved.”
