A new provider for a bus route previously run by a now-closed bus operator, has been confirmed.

The 146 Wrexham – Whitchurch route had been without a bus service since D Jones & Son announced it was to cease trading last December.

Today Wrexham Council confirmed there was good news for people who used the 146 bus to Whitchurch, stating that the service will running again from Monday 8th January.

The service will now be operated by Pat’s Coaches and the timetable will remain the same.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “This news will I’m sure be welcomed by people who use this service and I would like to thank officers for their time and commitment in securing alternative providers since the closure of D Jones and Son.”
