A man has appeared in court charged with a number of offences following a collision which left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

Shortly after 10pm on Thursday 22nd June police were called by the ambulance service to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on New Road in Glyn Ceiriog.

Officers attended and the pedestrian, a 21-year-old local man, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. He has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke but is believed to be in a stable condition.
