Local legal firms have been thanked for their support by Nightingale House Hospice following a recent Make a Will Week.

GHP Legal was one of a number of firms who volunteered their time and waived their fees to support the event, which raised £3,980.00 for the Wrexham based hospice.

Those who attended, for a recommended £100 donation to the Hospice, received a professionally drafted basic single will and for £150 a basic “mirror” will for couples.

Lisa Jones from GHP Legal said “A will is an opportunity to make your wishes clear and at a time when your family may be in distress, reassures them that they are carrying out your wishes.”

Delyth Underwood, In Memory Giving Fundraiser at Nightingale House said: “A will is one of the greatest gifts you can leave to your loved ones whilst at the same time helping the hospice by making your donation to cover the cost of drafting it.

The hospice thanked various participating solicitors including GHP Legal & Marta Williamson both based in Wrexham, as well as ones further away such as Macaskill Solicitors of Buckley, Guthrie Jones and Jones of Bala and Swayne Johnson of Denbigh and Ruthin.
