A coffee morning held by residents in Johnstown has helped raise £3,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event at Nant Parc, Johnstown, was organised by Gladys and friends, who have together raised the impressive sum for charity over the past five years.

Cllr David A Bithell, local member for Johnstown, said: “This is a fantastic achievement by Gladys, friends and helpers who prepare and make cakes and raise significant funds for Macmillan Cancer Support which will support those who need help during difficult times.”
