House Fire In Caia Park

The fire service attended a fire at a terraced property in Bryn Hafod, Caia Park, Wrexham earlier this afternoon.

Crews were called at 1:20pm and three appliances from Wrexham attended the scene. Initially two fire engines from Wrexham were sent to the scene, however a third was sent as well.

Several police cars were sighted and an ambulance was on the scene. Locally it was reported that one woman was taken to hospital. The fire service have said two people, a 34 year old woman and her neighbour a 23 year old man, have received precautionary treatment for smoke inhalation by paramedics at the scene.

A cordon was put up closing the road, with residents looking on.

The fire was extinguished using four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a main jet.

The woman occupant was alerted to the fire by activated smoke alarms.

It is not yet known how the fire started, however it is believed that the fire spread to the roof.

Roads were closed off as the incident was dealt with.
