A section of the Horseshoe Pass was closed this afternoon following a road traffic collision.

The incident took place on the A542 Horseshoe Pass at around 2:30pm this afternoon and is believed to have involved one vehicle.

Police said they were called to the incident around 2.20pm, with the ambulance service confirming one person was taken to the Maelor Hospital saying: “We were called at 2.16pm this afternoon, Thursday 10 December, to a single-vehicle road traffic accident on Llangollen’s Horseshoe Pass.
We sent a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a male was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
