Gresford Hit and Run Update: Man charged

A man has been charged following a hit and run incident that resulted in a pensioner sustaining injuries in October.

North Wales Police have confirmed this evening that a 42-year-old man has been charged following a hit and run incident whereby a pensioner was injured whilst riding his mobility scooter in the Gresford area of Wrexham.

The incident occurred on Friday 25th October on the High Street.

A 42-year-old man from the Gresford area was arrested in early November and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

He has now been charged with Careless Driving, Fail to stop and Fail to Report a Road Traffic Collision. He has been bailed to appear before Wrexham Magistrates Court on Monday 6th January 2014.
