Five Treated After Tumble Dryer Causes Lord Moreton Fire

Five people were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a pub to the south of Chirk.

Three fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry plus an Operations officer attended the incident.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
– Two sets of Breathing Apparatus
– One Hosereel jet
– One Main jet
– Thermal imaging camera

Shropshire Fire Service said the cause was involving first floor tumble dryers.

All persons were accounted for with five people treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
