Firefighters tackle large blaze at Wrexham Industrial Estate

UPDATE: ASH Waste Services have been in touch to say, “Following the fire that is now fully under control at our wrexham depot this morning, it’s business as normal for ASH Waste and the ASH Group Ltd, all other depots are operational and open and collections will continue as normal. Thanks to North Wales Fire for the prompt response!”

Seven fire engines, an aerial ladder platform, an environmental protection unit and an incident command unit have been called to a blaze at Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Firefighters were called to the to the incident on Redwither Road just before 4.30am.

A North Wales Fire Service spokesperson said: “Three appliances from Wrexham, two from Deeside, Llangollen, Johnstown, an ariel ladder platform, an environmental protection unit and an incident command unit are in attendance.

Members of the public are asked to keep away from the incident whilst firefighters are dealing with the fire. Any neighbouring properties should keep doors and windows closed.”
