Fire services attended a factory fire on the Vauxhall Industrial Estate in Ruabon this afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30pm a number of people contacted us to say that they had seen a number of fire engines heading in the direction of the Vauxhall Industrial Estate.

Four appliances attended the incident at the Flint Ink factory at 2:33pm this afternoon, after reports of smoke from the scene.

The suspected fire turned out to be fumes from an oil-fulled boiler, which caused the thick, black smoke.
