Emergency work to repair mains water leak in Gwersyllt

Parts of Wrexham have problems with their water this morning, with the issue looking likely to last most of the morning.

Dee Valley Water said this morning: “Dee Valley Water engineers are currently investigating a possible mains leak that is affecting supplies in Terrig Way in Summerhill and the surrounding area in Wrexham.

“Once the leak is located and isolated its repair is expected to take 4-5 hours to complete. After the repair some customer may experience discoloured water, please run your cold kitchen supply till clear. We apologise for the disruption & thank you for your understanding.”

They also added: “Our engineers are currently organising an emergency repairs at Stanstey Road, Wrexham . It is possible that properties in these and surrounding areas may experience poor pressure or no water whilst repairs are undertaken. At present repairs are expected to take 3-4 hours to complete. ”
