Earthquake felt in Wrexham
A magnitude 4.7 quake has been felt in Wrexham, with the actual quake hitting south Wales near Swansea
The quake struck at 2:31pm – the below BGS graph from Foel Wylfa just south of Llangollen, the BGS have said “Events of this magnitude only happen in the UK every 2-3 years”:
The quake has been felt across Wales and into England

On our Facebook page the common theme is wobbling sofas, plus the usual humour!
As with such things people have turned to twitter to enquire if it was a quake or something more trivial !

@wrexham anyone else feel a shaking then. Bags on my wardrobe were shaking as aswell. Thought it was maybe a crash but didn’t hear or see anything.
