Update: Electricity supplies around Wrexham are now back up and working as normal.

Original Story: A suspected fuse failure has resulted in some homes in Wrexham waking up to no power or electricity.

Parts of Wrexham are currently left without power following a suspected fuse failure at a substation. As a result properties in the Garden Road and Mayville Avenue areas of Rhosddu are affected.

A statement on the Scottish Power website reads: “Our emergency response teams have been alerted and will be making their way to the site to restore your electricity supply by 10:45am.

“Should this information change on arrival we shall endeavour to keep you updated. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
