Further overnight closures for the A483 and A55 have been announced for the seemingly never ending saga of the pinchpoint roadworks.

Total closure of the A55/A483 roundabout, the A483 southbound and the A55 eastbound carriageway are all expected to take place in the next week. Details of the £6million pinchpoint roadworks have been released by the Highways Agency, with significant closures starting from tonight.

The road closures carry on into next week and on night of Wednesday 10th June 2015, between 9:00pm and 5:00am, during the first part of the night, there will be a total closure of the west bridge of the A55/A483 roundabout, a closure of the A483 northbound, a closure of the A55 junction 38 eastbound exit slip and lane closures on the A55 westbound exit slip. The announcement of further closures on the bypass comes just a month after it was announced that the ongoing pinchpoint roadworks would not be completed until the end of June – three months after the initial deadline. The deadline was moved to June 28th, however the recent road closure announcements look as though that target will also be missed by a day.

Further information of diversions available to those who need to travel on the A483/A55 are available on the Highways Agency Website – if not, we’d suggest you avoid the route altogether for the next few days!
