Each candidate has been invited to make a written statement as well:

“Writing this I’ve just got in from a meeting at Borras and Holt Community Protection Camp which is set up across the road from the proposed drilling site which could open up this area to mass gas drilling.

This threat which includes ‘fracking’ was significant in my standing as a candidate as I believe nothing is more important than our health and the health of our children.

The Green Party is totally against this form of energy extraction and we need to be moving towards renewable energy to meet the challenges of climate change.

Wrexham should be at the forefront of renewables building upon the skills and expertise of the workforce that once produced solar panels at Llay.

Anti austerity, we believe that it is time to stop subsidising the banks and corporations, and instead it is people not profits who come first.

It is time to take back our NHS and railways, build energy efficient affordable homes, and make our society a fairer, healthier, happier place to live.

If this sounds like the type of future we should be aiming for, I would like to offer you the chance to vote Green on May 7th.”

As the videos come out we would encourage you to share them to as many people as possible, analyse and discuss the content and hopefully get people to take part and vote in the election!
