Update: We are told the road has since reopened.

Original information below.

The A534 by Farndon is blocked after a two vehicle crash just before 3pm.

Police and the fire service are in attendance at the incident that we are told has occurred closed to the B5069 cross roads.

Cheshire Police have said: “Police are dealing with a collision on the A534 at Farndon and have put on a road closure at the Broxton roundabout. Please avoid the area for the near future as traffic is already building.”

The air ambulance attended the incident and left the scene at 3:50pm and appeared to head to Aintree Hospital.

The Welsh Ambulance Service did not attend the incident.

Cars are turning around from both directions due to the blockage and queues are growing.

More shortly.
