Residents, groups, organisations and businesses in Wrexham are being urged to complete a survey to let the Council know what’s important to them.

The online survey follows the ‘excellent response’ the Council received from its recent “Difficult Decisions” consultation during which feedback was given on proposed cuts to the Council’s 2015/16 budget.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Mark Pritchard, said: “We were very pleased with the number of people who responded to our Difficult Decisions consultation which helped us finalise our budget for 2015/16.

“We now wish to increase the numbers who are talking direct to us and I encourage as many groups, organisations, businesses and residents to take part to help us set our targets for the year ahead. I can assure you all your views are important to us as we become even more customer focused and continue to take difficult decisions regarding budgets and services.

Wrexham Council say the survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, with three sections containing 35 questions.

The closing date for the consultation is Friday 20 February and the results will be reported to Councillors at a workshop in March where they will consider the targets they must set for different service areas for the year ahead.

The Council say: “The results will also be presented to all Heads of Departments, so that they can use your opinions in developing work within their own service areas, and make sound decisions about where to focus resources.”

You can find the survey online here at http://bit.ly/wcbcsurvey or you can complete a paper version that is available in Wrexham Library, the contact Centre and the Guildhall.
