Passengers who use the Wrexham to Chester bus service are being advised of temporary route changes which will be in place from next week.

Arriva Buses Wales say that from Monday 16th October the Number 1 service will be unable to serve the bus stops between Kings School and Overleigh Road Roundabout due to roadworks.

As a result the bus will divert through Roughill and Lache Lane for the duration of the works.

Arriva Buses Wales also say the following early morning and evening services will not pass through the Chester Business Park:

From Wrexham to Chester

– Monday-Friday: 6am, 6.24pm, 6.50pm, 7.50pm, 8.50pm, 9.50pm, 10.50pm.
– Saturday: 6.07am, 8.16pm, 6.50pm, 7.50pm, 8.50pm, 9.50pm, 10.50pm.
– Sunday: 6.50pm, 8.50pm, 10.50pm.

From Chester to Wrexham

– Monday to Friday: 6.30am, 6.47pm, 7.07pm, 7.32pm, 8.05pm, 9.05pm, 10.05pm, 11.05pm
– Saturday: 6.26am, 6.55pm, 7.27pm, 8.05pm, 9.05pm, 10.05pm, 11.05pm
– Sunday: 7.05pm, 8.35pm, 10.35pm

The diversions are taking place due to ten weeks of roadworks currently taking place on the A483 between the Posthouse Roundabout and Chester.

The works, which are part of a £1.2m scheme to improve traffic flow, will include the widening of the A483 inbound from the current dual carriageway to a three lane road between the Posthouse roundabout and the Chester Business Park.
