A car rolled 75 metres down a road before crashing through a fence after the vehicle’s window was smashed and the handbrake was released.

The incident took place on Bryn Hedd in Southsea shortly after 8pm on Tuesday 4 January.

One of the windows of the Ford Fusion was reportedly smashed before the handbrake was released, causing the vehicle to roll down a road before crashing through the fence of a nearby property.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

Jodie told us: “The car mounted the curb and literally went down the curb passed my parents car – one on the road and one one the drive, went through the fence of next door who have children.”

The top picture of the final resting place of the vehicle was sent to us by Gav, who added that the police were delayed when attending the incident.

North Wales Police told us this morning that they were called after 8:30pm last night to the incident, and attended as soon as possible.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police via 101 citing reference V001391

UPDATE: Jodie has sent some pictures of the damage visible today…
