Car collides with telegraph pole in Gatewen Road area

Emergency services have been called to a single vehicle collision in the Gatewen Road area of Wrexham.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said they received a call at 8:53am this morning following reports that a car had collided with a telegraph pole.

The Welsh Ambulance Service are also in attendance.

The incident has also resulted in a number of homes being left without electricity this morning, with SP Energy Networks tweeting to say: “Some supplies have been removed in LL11 Wrexham to make emergency repairs following a road traffic accident.

“Engineers are now making their way. Sorry for any inconvenience.”

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 8:45am to a road traffic collision on Gatewen Road, New Broughton.

“We responded with an emergency ambulance and one patient was treated at the scene.”
