Arriva Buses Wales are to introduce a temporary shuttle bus for passengers travelling between Wrexham and Chester during the ongoing A483 / A55 roadworks.

The changes which were initially due to be implemented on Monday 17th will now begin tomorrow, following a delay in the works on the A483. The shuttle bus will operate for stops between Marford and Pulford as a result of the northbound closure of the B5445 Old Wrexham Road

Buses departing from Wrexham bus station will keep to the existing schedule; however upon reaching Marford at the former ATS Garage, buses will the operate to Chester via Junction 7 to the A483.

Passengers travelling between Rossett and Rough Hill should remain on the bus to the Chester Business Park and board a Wrexham direction bus towards Pulford and Rossett. Passengers should show the driver their ticket and will not be charged for the shuttle bus route.

However for those travelling from Wrexham from Rossett and Rake Lane between Monday and Friday, a shuttle bus will operate between 6.53am to 9.50am and 3.23pm to 6.20pm. During this time passengers should change to the designated shuttles buses at the ATS garage.

The below timetables have been produced by Arriva Buses Wales and are available to view on their website.

Buses

Buses from Chester will keep to the existing timetable and route except for buses after 8.35pm, which will operate on diversion via Handbridge & Eccleston, to resume normal route after Rake Lane at Belgrave (B5445, Old Wrexham Road).

Additional capacity will also be provided for those who travel to Darland High School in the mornings.

It is recommended that passengers travelling between Wrexham and Chester leave enough time for their journey.
