Arrests After Wrexham Burglary

Four people are currently in police custody following an incident in the Wrexham area this morning.

At 8:16am North Wales Police were called to a report of a burglary involving three men at an address on the High Street in Rhosllanerchrugog whereby a woman was threatened and money was stolen.

The three men left the area in a Volkswagen Golf car.

Officers were immediately deployed to the scene and a short while later the Golf was located by in the Queensway area of Caia Park.

A man was seen leaving the property on Queensway and officers then followed him. A taser was used on the man and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. The 26-year-old was later released and is now in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Three women have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the outstanding two males and officers will remain in the Rhosllanerchrugog and Caia Park areas to provide reassurance and conduct their investigation.
